Dr. Hou obtained his Bachelor's degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2009 with the award of "Excellent Graduates of Sichuan Province". Then he moved to Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue his Ph.D. degree, and successfully had his thesis denfense in May of 2014. He was awarded as the "Excellent Graduates of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences". Dr. Hou is now working as a Post Doctorate RA in Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Dr. Hou's interest is focused on the experimental and theoretical study of clusters, including metal clusters, organometallic complexes, salt-water clusters, small biological molecules, atmospheric relevant ions and their complexes or hydrates. His research may provide useful information on the relationship between gas-phase cluster chemistry and the related condensed phase chemistry. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers, including Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Phys. Chem. Lett., J. Chem. Phys., etc.
